Biography

Susan Thomas, Inc., a family-run business was founded in 1943. It began as a junior dress house, but over time developed a complete line of womenswear, from active sportswear to eveningwear. It acquired a number of smaller firms in the 1950's and 1960's, and in 1968 merged with Genesco. For many years, Bill Thomas served as president of the firm.
