Biography
Mary Blair Fulweiler was a fashion business consultant and sportswear designer. Using her maiden name of Mary Blair, she designed clothing for a variety of US design firms during the mid-twentieth century. In her earlier career Blair was head designer for David Crystal; other companies she designed for included Arle, Inc., Tudor Square Sportswear, Beverley Paige Casuals, and the dress division of Leslie Fay, Inc., the design firm owned by John Pomerantz. She passed away after a long illness in March of 1974 at age 60.

Unsigned and undated original design process sketches of womenswear, drawn in pencil on vellum or pen on notepaper; many have multiple garments drawn on the same page, and about half have textile swatches attached.
