Biography

Philippe Venet was born in 1929 in Lyon, France. At a very young age he was a respected courtier in Lyon. He had joined the house of Lisa Schiaparelli in 1951 and moved to the house of Givenchy two years later. Here, he assisted in designing garments worn by Audrey Hepburn in her films. In 1962, he opened his own house, known for tailored coats, triangular kite-coats and kimono cut coats.'
