Biography

Jerry Silverman graduated from Harvard Law School in 1933 and was invited by one of his clients to become a sales manager for Martini Dresses. There he met Mr. Rodgers, and they soon started their own business. Silverman was founder and first president of the Fashion Capital of the World, an organization to promote American ready-to-wear clothes. He and Mr. Rodgers also founded the School of Fashion Design and Merchandising.
