Biography

Lou Stollar was a former Professor of Psychology at FIT for 48 years and President Emeritus, which he was awarded with upon his retiremen. He was also one of the founders of the Union for United College Employees of Fashion Institute of Technology (UCE of FIT). He was a leader of the Union for over 35 years and was a past member of the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) Higher Education Program & Policy Council and New York State United Teachers (NYSUT) Board of Directors. He created and chaired NYSUT's annual Community College Conference.
