Biography
Bea Traub was a personal shopper at Bonwit Teller, for whom she worked for 40 years before retiring in 1975. She joined the Fifth Avenue shop in 1935 and served under nine of its presidents. She advised prominent figures of society, theater and politics, including the wives of four Presidents. She also served as a costume consultant to the theater, movie and television industries. Her son with Sam Traub, Marvin S. Traub, was a chairman of Bloomingdale's.
