Scope and Contents
This folder contains the Federal Trade Commission's booklet "Trade Practice Rules for the Linen Industry", published in 1941, and the official FTC transcript of the trade regulation rule proceeding regarding the "public hearing on proposed trade regulation rules in re: tablecloths (misrepresentation of size)" from Jan 1964. The contents include statements by Max Weissman (then president of the Linen Trade Association), as well as representatives from the companies Hemp and Beatley, Imperial Linens, Sun Weave Linen, Weil and Durrse, and William Smart and Son.
