Scope and Contents

This folder contains a scrapbook that includes newspaper and magazine clippings about Vera Maxwell and her designs. There are also black & white prints depicting women models wearing Maxwell designs. Most of the prints have descriptions of the designs attached to them. Also, included are promotional materials, correspondence, an invitation of a showing of the designer's 25th Anniversary collection, and handouts and price lists related to the Travel-Resort-Spring collection 1961. There are also two handouts of fashion events in which the designer participated. One is related to the event "American Couture in Dublin" presented by Brown Thomas in aid of the Central Remedial Clinic "Fight Polio" campaign and the other handout is related to the Federated Garden Clubs of New York State, Inc.
