Scope and Contents
This folder contains large sketches of pencil, color pencil, watercolor, and pen designs for womenswear. The designs are uniforms for women war workers and were created in 1942. 1 sketch is attached to a paperboard and other has fabric samples included. There are also 3 copies of a color print of a Camel Cigarette ad in which Vera Maxwell and her designs appear. The ad was released in Life, Time, Vogue, and Harper's Bazar magazine in 1942. Also, included are 7 illustrations of watercolor designs for womenswear. The illustrations were made by Jean Spadea in 1946 and all are contained in a single paperboard.
