Bridal collection
Scope and Contents
This collection contains an excerpt from the June 1891 issue of Ladies Home Journal "June Brides and their Maids", wedding gown sketches dating from approximately 1922-1935, resource lists for brides and bridesmaids from 1951, photographs of bridal wear in Bride's Magazine from 1930s to 1950s, and photographs for wedding announcements from the Montclair Times (NJ) from 1940-1949. The photographs in this collection have an accompanying checklist finding aid for each photograph with a brief description compiled by the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute Library.
