Color (pigment)

This folder contains magazine clippings of primarily paintings, fashion illustrations, and women models advertising clothes. Also, included are marker sketches of print patterns, a post card, a Merry Christmas's card, and a pamphlet related to a presentation of fabrics from Venice. This material and clippings were apparently used for research purposes on color.

This collection is comprised of twelve sample books and one sample card issued by No Mend Hosiery Inc. with sample swatches and corresponding recommendations for color coordination.

This series is comprised of 10 folders containing primarily press clippings of hats, fashions from the 20th century, ethnic costume styles from diverse cultures, fabrics, embroideries, crafts, color, female figure types, dyes, and sizing. The clippings were used apparently for research purposes. Also, included are lists of names that were used for reference as well.

This folder contains a paperboard with a list of color thread samples.
