Biography

Harriette Harra was an American fashion designer. She worked for Stein and Blaine before starting her own wholesale design firm. After discontinuing her firm in 1951, she joined Ben J. Glam as a designer.

Scope and Contents

This collection contains original fashion sketches done by Harra in the late 1940's, early 1950's. It contains photographs of her garments on models. Some of the photos have the original illustration attached. It also contains press clipping and pamphlets regarding Harra's business and events she participated in. Also included are pieces of correspondence and financial information, some on Harriette Harra letter head.
