Sketchbooks and oversized loose drawings, 1976 - 2025

This box contains fashion design sketches and model drawings spanning the course of Cutting's career, from his first sketchbook created in 1976 just before his 15th birthday to the date of donation of his archives to FIT. Sketches are in a variety of formats--pencil, marker, pastel--on a variety of types of paper--tissue, vellum, various weights of art paper. Loose drawings retain Cutting's original order and handwritten labels, which is mostly organized by medium.
