Women's, men's, and outer wear

 File — Box: 1, Folder: 3

Scope and Contents

The bulk of the sketches in this folder are for women's wear; all are rendered in gouache, ink and pencil on gray heavyweight paper, most have handwritten notes describing the textile specifications, and many looks include a matching hat. There is one sketch of a woman wearing a wool overcoat. There is also one sketch of men's wear rendered in black ink on vellum, which depicts high-waisted pleated trousers with a fitted waist and relaxed fit pant leg and a pointed collar button down shirt. None of the sketches are dated, though based on the clothing lines the designs appear to be from circa 1945 - 1955.
