Scope and Contents
Volume 26 includes clippings about women's wear, evening wear and society fashion; Mainbocher's designs appear on the "international best dressed" list, particularly on Mrs. Loel Guinness. Other notable personalities featured are First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy (though not wearing Mainbocher), Lilly Pulitzer, Mary Martin, C Z Guest, and Tippi Hedren. There is a loose full article magazine clipping, "Tip to Toe Fad in Fabulous Furs" by Eugenia Sheppard from the Saturday Evening Post, published Oct 13 1962; another full article (though still glued to the backing page) is titled "Mainbocher '63" and features photographs by Richard Avedon of models wearing Mainbocher designs.
