Biographical / Historical

Cesare Vecellio was a Venetian publisher. He worked alongside his famous cousin Titian before 1548. His book, "De gli habiti antichi et moderni di diversi parti del mondo" was part of a sixteenth century trend of depicting regional costumes. The artworks within were created by the woodcutter Christoph Krieger and engraver Enea Vico.
