Scope and Contents
This folder contains a scrapbook from 1965 with newspaper and magazine clippings, promotional materials, and photographs for the 1965 Miss America promotional tour with Vonda Kay Van Dyke. Miss America's promotional tours were a collaboration between Miss America, Everfast Fabrics, Everglaze, and McCall's Patterns. In 1965, they visited Gimbel's, Stewart's, Frederick & Nelson, Meier & Frank, Home Silk Shop, Block's, Emery, Bird, Thayer Company, Eaton's, Cain-Sloan, Brandeis, and The Dayton Company. There are photographs at the participating stores, fashion show programs, and sewing pattern envelopes.
