Scope and Contents

This collection is comprised of three series. The first series has 217 folders containing 190 scrapbooks that document the publicity, promotions, and advertising undertaken by the textile converting firm Everfast Fabrics, Inc. from 1921-1967. The second series has two folders containing loose swatch cards from the 1930s-1959 and the third series has one folder containing label samples from the 1930s-1967, all from Everfast Fabrics, Inc.

Everfast Fabrics, Inc. made fabrics for clothing and interiors, and was active during the early part of the twentieth century.

Arrangement

This system is arranged into three series: scrapbooks; fabric swatches; and label samples. Folders are organized chronologically within each series.

Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements

Paper materials in this collection are very fragile and there are many loose items that have separated from their original pages. Handle with great care.

Small round tags are interspersed throughout the parts of the collection. They may have been used like tabs to mark different areas of the now disbounded scrapbooks.

Custodial History

Materials came from the Museum at FIT in the late 1970s or 1980s and additional materials were transferred in 2014. They were previously donated to the museum in 1971 by Everfast Industries.
