Mary Shannon autobiographical scrapbook reproduction
Scope and Contents
This collection contains a reproduction (color and black and white photocopies) of an autobiographical scrapbook created by Ms. Shannon documenting her career; the introduction details that Shannon compiled the scrapbook at the advice of and with help from Smith College Archives. The scrapbook is arranged like a book manuscript, with a table of contents and handwritten pagination, with correspondence, press and other loose un-numbered supporting material interspersed. The color copied paginated pages include images of photographs, textile swatches and sketches among other content. There does not appear to be any original material in this collection, only curated and chronologically arranged reproductions of original documents.

Arrangement
The reproduction scrapbook is divided between two boxes; each box has its own unique table of contents. The numbered scrapbook pages are oversized, while the copies of supporting documents that are interspersed are regular sized; this means that the larger paper is not evenly supported and bends down at the ends, but maintaining the original order created by Shannon was deemed most important, so all the contents were left as they were found.
