Scope and Contents

This folder contains 25 black ink on vellum design sketches for casual women's wear, with textile swatches attached--all have adhesive stains on the edges of the paper. The archival folder they were found in (which was folder 4) indicates that the sketches were created by Jennifer Jordan, an FIT alumni, and that the designs are by Susan Sheinman.

This folder contains design sketches for casual women's wear, most of them black ink on vellum with textile swatches attached, and a few with their specification sheet (model number, cost, trim, style notes) still attached. The archival folder they were found in (which was folder 6) indicates that the sketches were created by Jennifer Jordan, an FIT alumni, and that the designs are by Susan Sheinman.

Scope and Contents This folder contains press photographs of models wearing Papillon designs, the majority black and white prints but a few are color prints. Many have textual information attached, including press agent (Eleanor Lambert in most cases, or Saks Fifth Ave), item model number, retail price, color way and other details. This folder contains 5 oversized black and white prints on stiff paper of models wearing Papillon designs, many of them posed in interiors drinking tea or wine; they are undated and there is no accompanying press information. There is also a signed mounted color photograph of First Lady Betty Ford holding Mickey Mouse's hand; the inscription below reads "Dear Susan, I love my Papillons, Betty Ford."

This folder contains press clippings of articles about Papillon designs, clippings and photocopies of advertisments featuring Jennifer Jordan illustrations, and 2 photocopies of a letter dated Mar 19 1973 from the Council of Fashion Designers of America CFDA approving Sheinman's membership; the letter is signed by Oscar de la Renta, who was president of the organization at the time.

Scope and Contents This folder contains newsprint press clippings, press releases, advertisments, photographs and one design sketch. All are mounted on their original scrapbook pages aside from photographs which were removed and sleeved, and the one design sketch with attached swatch, which has an attached undated invoice for 12 dresses sold to Hermes and which was also sleeved.
