This collection consists of pencil sketches (some partially colored) of women's evening and bridalwear, one example of Wallace Sloves' letterhead, one order form and a tearsheet featuring a photograph of a bridal gown.
Walter Gerson sketches
This collection contains notated original and photocopied sketches of women's wear, many drawings with fabric swatches attached. Designs are mainly daytime wear, with some looks made up of coordinating separates. All drawings are undated and unsigned, and without brand information; based on style and fabrics they are presumed to be from the early 1980s while Gerson was working for various brands including R and K, Nancy Greer and Baron Peters.
Whittingham and Humphreys sketches, 1888-1914
This collection of 32 bound volumes of fashion sketches from the London dress firm Whittingham and Humphrey, later Humphrey. The sketches are in pencil and/or ink. Some sketches have suggested materials and colors noted.
Wiener Werkstätte fashion postcards, 1911-1912
This collection consists of postcards with color lithograph fashion illustrations by Mela Koehler and Edouard Joseph Wimmer-Wisgrill on the face and Wiener Werkstätte graphics on the reverse. From a series of six designs by Koehler created on the occasion of a Wiener Werkstätte fashion show held in April 1911; cards number 518A, 519-522 and 523B. Wimmer-Wisgrill cards are numbered 865 and 868.
