Vuokko Oy sales and promotional materials
Scope and Contents
This collection consists of 3 items, all presenting "Vuokko idea" in design, which championed simplicity in both textile patterns and clothing silhouette:
A tri-fold brochure titled "Vuokko in kaunis koti" (Anemone in a beautiful home) dated 1970 that includes black and white and color photographs of models wearing Vuokko Oy clothing; English text is by Ritva Sievanen and photography by Max Petrelius;
An undated folder brochure titled "Vuokko Show" with similar black and white photographs and text in Dutch--this as well (as the following item) was produced by Amsterdam-based company Hurlebath and Co., who seem to have been one of Vuokko's distributors in the Netherlands;
An undated folder that contains 25 loose pages which includes Vuokko's style and model guide for men's wear and women's wear (featuring line drawings of clothing pieces, style name, textile specifications and price in Finnish Marks), plus a one page price list with handwritten notes; some of the garments in the style guide are pictured in the brochure photographs.
