Textile design

This series has two folders containing an assortment of loose fabric swatch cards from about the 1930s-1959 from Everfast Fabrics. There are also some associated newspaper clippings.

Photographs of students in the Textile program classes, doing textile identification, creating textile designs, doing screen printing, textile designs, weaving on a loom, selecting fabrics from manufacturers, and attending a guest lecture.

This folder contains 7 copies of 2 black and white 7x9 photographs of Marimekko by Vanha Tavitie looks from Fall/Winter 1973 and one black and white 7x9 unidentified photograph of dress.

The Marimekko collection includes sample books of pattern designs, textile swatches, pictures of modeled garments, fashion catalogues for different seasons , leaflets, a brochure, few photographs and promotional items.

This folder contains sketches of pencil and wash designs for children's clothing. Also, included are pencil and wash sketches of striped fabric patterns.

This folder contains sketches of pencil, color pencil, wash, acrylic and pen designs for children's clothing. There are also sketches of pencil, wash and acrylic designs of striped fabric patterns, some have fabric samples attached. Also, included are handwritten notes, a receipt, and magazine and newspaper clippings.

This folder contains fashion sketches done by Harriette Harra in 1947. Sketches are done in pencil. Some are filled in with watercolor have swatches attached. Some have designer annotations.
