This collection consists of primary source material from various fashion-related sources from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The majority of the sources are fashion plates and tear sheets, but there are also sketches, photographs, and advertisements. Most of the images reflect women's and men's fashions, with some children's fashions, as indicated.

This series is comprised of 10 folders containing primarily press clippings of hats, fashions from the 20th century, ethnic costume styles from diverse cultures, fabrics, embroideries, crafts, color, female figure types, dyes, and sizing. The clippings were used apparently for research purposes. Also, included are lists of names that were used for reference as well.
