Scope and Contents
This folder contains a hand-illustrated portfolio documenting important milestones in the history of Everfast Fabrics, starting with the first color fast cottons in 1921, and covering the first color fast linens in 1922, the first color fast printed cotton and linen fabrics in 1925, the first Evershrunk cottons in 1935, the first Evershrunk linens in 1936, and the first Everfast rayons in 1939. There are fabric swatches representing each of these milestones. There is a list of stores that sold Everfast rayon fabrics, photographs of window displays at Macy's, Hudson's, and Bamberger's, and newspaper and magazine clippings with Everfast publicity. There is also feature on Erin, a crease-resistant spun rayon from Everfast used for women's wear and children's wear.
