Scope and Contents
This folder contains a scrapbook from 1952-1953 with newspaper clippings, business correspondence, promotional materials, photographs, and fabric swatches for the 1952 and 1953 Miss America promotional tours with Colleen Kay Hutchins and Neva Jane Langely. Miss America's promotional tours were a collaboration between Miss America, Everfast Fabrics, Everglaze, McCall's Patterns. In 1952 and 1953, they visited The Dayton Co., Rich's, Sibley, Lindsay & Curr, Co., Hudson's, Bullocks, Scruggs-Vandervoort-Barney, and Macy's. There are photographs at the participating stores, fashion show programs, and McCall's sewing pattern envelopes with swatches of the recommended Everfast Fabric.
