Fashion plates and images from the sixteenth to twentieth century
This collection consists of primary source material from various fashion-related sources from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. The majority of the sources are fashion plates and tear sheets, but there are also sketches, photographs, and advertisements. Most of the images reflect women's and men's fashions, with some children's fashions, as indicated.

This folder contains 2 oversize men's fashion plates: 1) 1 plate, "Incroyable", by Horace Vernet, printed c. 1814-1815, depicts fashion of 1790s; 2) 1 plate, "Petit-Maitre vetu d'un Habit à large revers...". More materials can be found in standard size boxes.
